This brief aims to inform state leaders on a novel approach to advancing teacher preparation practices currently piloted by the High-Quality Instructional Materials and Professional Development (IMPD) Network Educator Preparation Program (EPP) Workgroup. This approach is designed to equip future teachers with the necessary knowledge and skills relative to the science of reading and high-quality instructional materials (HQIM), ensuring their future students receive high-quality instruction.
