Bridging Accountability and School Improvement

Accountability and school improvement systems are powerful levers for advancing state priorities and improving student outcomes. When aligned, these systems can reinforce state goals and drive evidence-based interventions. Yet many states face challenges coordinating accountability and school improvement efforts effectively. Drawing on promising state practices, CCSSO’s new resource, Bridging Accountability and School Improvement, provides a roadmap for state education agencies to better align these systems and ensure that these core state functions work together to support high-quality learning experiences for all students.
